NyF Bio

In 2018, after years of playing in metal bands and running his own recording and production studio, the mastermind behind NyF started to feel a tug toward a new musical direction. Fuelled by his love for synths and electronic elements, he drew inspiration from a new wave of synthwave artists, like Perturbator and Carpenter Brut, who he saw performing electronic music at metal festivals. Although his own music took a darker, heavier turn, the energy and visual style of these artists stuck with him and fuelled his creative drive.

Experimenting with different sounds, NyF’s first single, Singularity, was released in early 2020. The release was followed by three more singles, two of which were a collaboration with Freddy Rotter from the band Zatokrev. Their musical partnership flourished, with both artists bringing their unique technical and creative skills to the table. NyF’s upcoming album, co-produced by Rotter, promises to be a cohesive and evolved work of art.

Drawing inspiration from a range of genres, from EDM/EBM to metal, NyF recorded numerous ideas and concepts, some of which quickly evolved into fully-formed songs, while others remained as seeds for future creative exploration. Freddy’s feedback and guitar skills added another layer of depth and complexity to the music, and the two spent countless hours in the studio, bouncing ideas back and forth.

Despite not being able to perform live due to the pandemic, NyF is determined to share his music with a live audience as soon as possible. He believes that the energy and visual aspects of his music are essential to the full experience and is currently working on incorporating these elements into his live performances.

NyF’s unique blend of heavy, dark electronic music is a force to be reckoned with, and his upcoming album promises to be a standout work in the genre.
